Ray is a powerhouse! He is 40" at the withers, and weighs 300#. Ray is more than just massive, he is long, wide and level. He has an excellent rump and excellent rear leg angulation. Even with all of the weight he carries, Ray's pasterns and feet are exceptional. Ray is simply an awesome sight to behold. He's one of those bucks who is full of himself. He dances and prances his way through a show ring. Ray was shown as a yearling at a 3 ring show where he was Grand in 2 rings and Reserve in one ring over older bucks, but did not get a leg as there were only 9 bucks. Ray was shown in 3 states as a 4 year old, and he is now a Permanent Champion.

Ray's daughters, competing in One Day Tests at shows, have ranged from 10.2# to 14.8# milk, with 3.4% to 3.6% butterfat. On appraisal, each Ray daughter that I have freshened has scored at least one level higher in mammary than her dam. All of his daughters have exceeded their dams in size, both in height and width. I selected Ray for udder improvement, and got the added bonus of all of this size and high butterfat.
