Mitzi is a bit of a hard luck girl. She was born at only 3 pounds. In all of the years we’ve had goats, I’ve never had a doe get bred that I didn’t know about. Mitzi changed that. One day I noticed her making udder, and it sure wasn’t a precocious udder. She kidded with twins at 11 months old when she was already smaller than the other kids in her age group. I kept Mitzi dry as a 2 year old to give her time to catch up to everyone else in growth. She had twin bucks as a 3 year old. She finally gave us a doe in 2024, Magical Matilda. Mitzi never did reach the size of our other does from getting stunted as a kid, but she is a lovely doe in her own right.
