Pleasant-Grove Smitten By Pal, a.k.a. Smitty, is an exciting addition to our buck barn. Its been a while since we added new bloodlines to our herd. We wanted to add more milk while keeping our strong general appearance and pretty udders. We were blessed to get our first choice buck who we expect will do just that and more!

Smitty’s sire, Palermo, is maternal brother to the 2025 ADGA National Saanen Grand Champion Alder*Rose New Italian Rain. Their dam, Corato, is an amazing doe with an appraisal score of 7-05 92 (EEEE) and DHIA 5-11 298 3860 141 3.7f 108 2.8p.

Smitty’s dam Pleasant-Grove NSMM Sitdown is 5th generation LA Excellent in Udder. She is a powerful doe with a lovely front end and stands on strong feet and legs. And she still has that fabulous Pleasant-Grove udder as an aged doe.

Sitdown earned 1st place/1st Udder Aged Doe at the 2025 National Show. Then in August of this same year, she earned her LA score of 7-02 92 (EEEE). All of this at 7 years old while working on her 2nd straight 4,000 pound lactation!

Sitdown proves a doe can be powerful, pretty, and milk an impressive lactation all at the same time. To top all of that off, Sitdown’s 3 year old daughter Pleasant-Grove Stack of Cash earned Best in Show and Best Udder in Show at the prestigious Iowa State Fair. It is exciting to have a buck whose dam who can be shown and win at 7+ years old while milking an impressive lactation. What is even more impressive is that Sitdown is a fine brood doe as well. We eagerly look forward to seeing our first Smitty kids!
