Des Ruhigestelle Loreleah 3*M
One Day Test Loreleah has been an exciting doe for us. She finished her permanent championship by the time she was 60 days fresh on her first lactation in the spring of 1997. In 1998, Loreleah earned Best of Breed with 29 Sr. Saanen does competing. In 2000, Loreleah placed 8 th in the nation in the National Saanen Breeders Association’s Total Doe Competition. In 2001, and again in 2002, Loreleah appraised 91 as an aged doe. She has been on One Day Test several times in her lifetime, and her butterfat has always been well over 4%. She continues to milk strong as an aged doe. Loreleah is an exceptional general appearance doe. She stands on straight front legs and perfectly angled rear legs. Her feet are tight toed with strong, short pasterns. Loreleah has an incredibly smooth front end, with tight shoulders and front legs perfectly positioned under her withers. She has lots of body width without sacrificing dairyness. Loreleah is still as sound at 10 years old as she was when she was 2. On a crisp morning, you can see her running in the pasture with the yearlings. Loreleah continues her family’s tradition of excellence, while she passes her fine qualities to her offspring. Spin Doctor, Loreleah’s son by Colquitt’s Wolfman Jack, appraised 90 as a 3 year old, with an E in general appearance. Lorraine, Loreleah’s 2002 daughter by Des Ruhigestelle Eraser, appraised Ec overall as a dry yearling and scored 88 (+EEE) as a 2 year old first freshener. Lucy, Loreleah’s 2003 daughter by McQuitty Farm Sweet Talkin Sid, appraised Ec overall and was 16 th senior yearling at the 2004 National Show. It seems it doesn’t matter which buck we use, the offspring are always very nice, and are exceptional in general appearance. Loreleah has truly been an asset to our herd. She is bred to her grandson Clyde. Bred to Clyde Due 3/25/05 Doe Kids not for sale, Buck Kids $850
GCH Willow Run Tess
Life 1790 12460 377/3.0% 364/2.9% Tess was the 2001 Reserve National Champion at 6 years old. Her maternal half-sister was the 1998 National Champion. Tess’s son by Willow Run DRZ Atlas sold for $3600 in the 2002 Spotlight sale. Tess spent her entire life in a large commercial environment. To look at her, you would never guess she is 10 years old. Like Loreleah, she is as sound as the yearlings. Tess is a living testament that correct type gives the strength to function well into the later years. We were lucky to have the opportunity to add her to our herd. Bred to Wooly Due 4/17/05 Doe Kids not for sale, Buck Kids $1200

Hill Jenna 5*M
One Day Test Jenna is a very tall doe. She has lots of width in the chest floor and a very long neck. Jenna’s udder has a large area of attachment, with pleasing teat placement. Jenna has exceptional feet, with tight toes, perfectly shaped cloves, and stands on strong, short pasterns. Jenna is a persistent milker with a very level lactation. She is capable of maintaining an extended lactation, as evidenced by her yearling lactation of 22 months. Jenna is a steady and reliable milker in heat and cold, at home and away. As a bonus, she has an easy temperament to match her dependability in the milk parlor. Jenna is dam to Glory, who was our top show doe in 2004. We will repeat the breeding to Doc to try for another Glory. Bred to Doc Due 3/8/05 Kids $350
One Day Test Mary is a very pleasing doe. She stands on strong feet and legs,
and is very structurally sound. She milks huge amounts of milk, day
in and day out, without any apparent effort. Mary has participated
in milking competitions in PA, OH and WV, and was the highest producing
doe of any breed in each of those competitions. Mary is the easiest
kidder we’ve ever owned. She can deliver triplets in the time
it takes me to walk to the house to grab a cup of coffee. She is a
low maintenance, high performance doe. Her dam, Maureen, was still
producing at 14 years old, so it seems that Mary is just getting started
at 7 years old. Bred to Doc Due

Fuzzy has exceptional shoulder assembly and excellent legs, both front and rear. Her general appearance is nearly flawless. And what a pedigree! Lace is our first purebred, and an exciting one at that! Lace’s pedigree is rich in excellence. It promises high production with the structure and strength to sustain that high production throughout the mature years. Lace is as powerful of a doe as you would expect from this pedigree. Lace came to us as a dry doe in the spring of 2004. We bred her to Sid for an October kidding. Lace freshened with a single doe, which we have retained. We will milk her through and then breed her for the spring of 2006.

Kickadee Hill Morning Glory
2-00 223 1894 59/3.1% 52/2.7% in progress Glory is a huge doe who simply exudes power. She is tall, deep, and wide, with a phenomenal udder. On appraisal day, the appraiser said that Glory would’ve easily scored a 90 but the linear appraisal rules state that first fresheners may not be scored 90. Glory has had a very exciting show career. She earned her dry leg as a kid, and then finished her permanent championship this year as a 2-year-old first freshener. Even more exciting than those Grand Champion wins were Glory’s two Best Udder in Show awards, as well as a Best Doe in Show award where Glory was the only first freshener in the lineup. Glory was 9 th place 2 year old at the 2004 National Show. What a glorious grand finale for her show year! Bred to Wooly Due 4/6/05 Kids

Kickadee Hill Fine Emerald
2-00 247 2418 104/4.3% 68/2.8% in progress Although Emerald meets breed standard, she is the smallest doe in our herd. As with Glory, the appraiser said that Emerald would’ve scored 90 if she were not a first freshener. Emerald has a very smooth front end, and a perfectly level rump. She is wide bodied without sacrificing dairyness. Emerald’s udder is very snug with a great area of attachment. She has plumb teats and the prettiest rear udder in the barn. Emerald’s level lactation, high components, sound structure, and cooperative attitude make her ideal for the working dairy.

Like her dam and grand-dam before her, Janey stands on excellent legs both front and rear, and has beautiful feet with perfectly shaped cloves, deep heels and tight toes. She is elegant and stylish as well as very correct. This year’s appraiser commented that Jolene’s udder is an E udder that will always be an E udder. Jolene earned her first championship leg this year as a milking yearling. She was unbeaten in her age class, was Grand Champion twice and Reserve Champion twice competing with all of our 2-year-olds. Jolene’s daughter by Wooly, Justina, earned her dry leg by winning a Best Junior Doe in Show award at only 6 weeks old. We expect great things from Jolene. Bred to Wooly Due 4/6/05 Kids $600
