My friend Amy called to ask if I wanted to ride along with her to Munchin’ Hill to pick up some kids she’d ordered. I said I’d love to see some beautiful Alpines and I won’t need to worry about being tempted to buy anything since I only have Saanens these days. Famous last words! We got there and Pat had this lovely doe kid available, so we now have a second breed. Amy looks very much like her dam, CH Avalanche. Amy is feminine and has a long bone pattern throughout. Her escutcheon is high and wide with perfectly plumb, perfectly placed teats. I remember Alpines as being the trouble-makers in the herd, but not Amy. She is sweet and pleasant all the time. Amy has turned out to be a wonderful addition to our herd!
